HOAS: Sähkömiehen työt kulttuurisidonnaisia

Helsingin seudun opiskelija-asuntosäätiö (HOAS) peri entiseltä asukkaalta 140 euroa kahdesta puuttuvasta kattovalaisimen sokeripalasta, Metro kertoo. Sokeripalat asentaa sähkömies, joka laskuttaa työstään tuntitaksan perusteella. Sähkömiestä käytetään, vaikka kuka tahansa saisi tehdä työn.
- Emme voi ottaa asukkaiden turvallisuuteen liittyviä riskejä. Sokeripalan kiinnittämiseen liittyy useita riskejä, kuten vaara sähköiskusta tai putoamisesta. Meidän asukkaamme edustavat niin montaa erilaista kulttuuria, ettei siitä mitään tulisi, HOASin kiinteistöpäällikkö Matti Kauppila sanoo.

South Korean politicians tried to sledgehammer their way into a parliamentary meeting room barricaded by the ruling Grand National Party (GNP) as the National Assembly descended into chaos over a free-trade agreement with the United States.
Security staff and aides from the ruling party stood guard outside the room to keep opposition lawmakers away after the committee’s GNP-affiliated chairman invoked his right to use force to “keep order” in parliamentary proceedings.
Opposition members used a sledgehammer and an electric saw to tear open the meeting room’s wooden doors, only to find barricades of furniture set up inside as a second line of defence. Security guards sprayed fire extinguishers at those trying to force their way inside.

The more I read about Bernie Madoff, the more disgusted I am with the whole crowd of country-club suckers he allegedly conned and the phony “gentility” they represent. The whole Bernie Madoff scandal was not about Jews and money but Jews and respectability. The scandal was a tragedy of misguided upward mobility.
This is a scandal that hinges on a false connection between country-club membership and “respectability.” Bernie seems to have preyed on those Jews who worship the false idol of WASP respectability. The sham gentility of country-club life. Give me a break. Give me a gangster over a golfer any day.
Old money in America is just old crime well-varnished by time. The big money has always been made by criminals of non-Jewish persuasions: The non-Jews who committed genocide to steal the land; the non-Jews who built up fortunes through slavery; the non-Jews who built “respectable” fortunes on the backs of wage slaves.
